What a night!

On Tuesday 12th May 2026, we held our very first Dalbeattie Riding of the Marches Bingo Night — and it was an incredible success. We honestly cannot thank the community enough for the support shown throughout the evening.

From the committee and volunteers working hard behind the scenes, to our principals helping throughout the night, it truly was an all hands on deck effort from start to finish. A special thank you must also go to our brilliant bingo caller, Jim Dingwall, who kept the hall entertained all evening and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere.

Like any first event, there were a few small hiccups and mix-ups along the way, but everyone was so patient, supportive, and good humoured while we found our feet. The kindness and encouragement shown by everyone in attendance meant so much to us as a new committee continuing to grow this event.

With six games of bingo, a raffle, tombola, tuck shop, and plenty of tea and coffee flowing throughout the night, the hall was full of laughter, conversation, and community spirit from beginning to end.

And somehow... together... we raised over £700 for Dalbeattie Riding of the Marches 2026.

We are incredibly grateful to every single person who attended, donated prizes, bought tickets, volunteered their time, helped set up and tidy away, or supported us in any way. Events like this simply would not be possible without the support of our local community.

Dalbeattie truly is an amazing wee town to be part of, and nights like these remind us exactly why we are so passionate about building this new tradition rooted in local heritage and community spirit.

Thank you all once again for making our first Bingo Night such a memorable success.
